We will create for you experiences that you would never have had if you had spend your trip in Korea alone, or if you did not have a ‘local’ friend. By trying Korean food like Korean barbecue with ssam (lettuce wrap), experiencing traditional Korean culture like carving stamps and visiting the Ssamji-gil shopping district and Gyeongbokgung Palace, and experiencing modern Korean trends, we assure you that this personal tour will be a perfect start to travelling in Korea.
Course information
Seonbi-ok (선비옥)
Korean barbecue(돼지갈비) is the best Korean food to start with! You can enjoy barbecue with ssam (lettuce wrap) and putting pepper, garlic, or other things inside. There are various side menu that goes perfectly with BBQ such as naengmyeon(Korean noodle, 냉면) and doenjang stew(된장찌개), beef radish soup(소고기무국). Lastly, we'll try Korean traditional sweet rice drink called Sikhye(식혜)!
EorayeonJeongak Academy (어라연전각아카데미)
Koreans have their own stamp with their name carved in it when they are born. Make your own stamp as unforgettable souvenir, experiencing Korean culture with the traditional Korean method. You can decorate your stamp with extra fee 11,000 KRW.
Ssamji-gil (쌈지길)
If you don't go to Ssamji-gil shopping district you cannot say you went to Insadong! It is a representative cultural complex in Insa-dong where you can enjoy seeing many different things. From cute products in workshops to fashion designer goods, clothes, and cafes, you can buy great things at reasonable prices.
Gyeongbokgung Palace (경복궁)
Since this is a traditional tour, you can't miss a palace tour, right? Gyeongbokgung Palace was built during the Joseon Dynasty and it is popular with foreigners as well as Koreans. I think it is a great opportunity to experience the beauty of the royal palace as well as the history of Korea.
InsaengNaecut (인생네컷)
Now let’s be trendy! This is really the latest fashion among Koreans. You can take four straight pictures and get them printed instantly. I wish you will go back to your country with pictures of your happy memories in Korea.
Café: ‘Café Bora’ or ‘Coffee Bang-aatgan (커피방앗간)’
Both cafes are famous on social media such as Facebook and Instagram. "Café Bora" is modern and cute, and "Coffee Bang-aatgan" is a bit more traditional.
Café Bora
It is a cute and pretty cafe that not only stimulates our taste but also stimulates us visually by using a beautiful purple color harmoniously. If you want to enjoy a beautiful dessert and take beautiful pictures, I recommend that you choose ‘Café Bora’.
Coffee Bang-aatgan (커피방앗간)
This vintage style café is famous for being a film set for lots of TV dramas and movies. With the wall plastered with pictures that the owner drew, you can easily feel the unique character of this café. If you want to have special memories with a portrait which the owner drew, I recommend you choose‘Coffee Bang-aatgan (커피방앗간)’.
